October 2, 2018: Age Well, Drive Smart -- San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Hills

In partnership with the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Senator Bates is hosting a FREE 2-hour safety course for drivers age 55 and older.

The course will include classroom instruction on driving safety, basic road courtesy, information on the impact visual or hearing impairments have on driving ability, tips on avoiding or offsetting hazardous road conditions, and improving driving performance. Participants will also receive an update on changes the Legislature has made to rules of the road and vehicle equipment.

Some insurance companies offer discounted premiums with a certificate of course completion. Check with your insurance provider to confirm this program meets its criteria for a policy discount.
